Built by developers,
for developers
ByteCore Stack is a small, focused team shipping free, open-source WordPress plugins that solve real problems without bloat, paywalls, or compromise.
Solving real WordPress
problems, not imaginary ones
ByteCore Stack was born out of frustration with plugins that do too much, load too slowly, and hide core features behind paywalls. We believe every site owner deserves professional-grade tooling — regardless of budget.
Every plugin we ship solves exactly one, well-defined problem and does it properly. No feature creep. No bloated settings pages. No telemetry. Your data never leaves your server.
- Zero external requests on the front end
- Every feature freely available, always
- Maintained and compatible with the latest WordPress
- Full accessibility support, WCAG 2.1 AA
The principles behind every plugin
Every decision we make is measured against these four rules.
Performance first
Every plugin is profiled before release. Minimal database queries, no unnecessary JavaScript, no external CDN calls on your visitors' requests.
Secure by default
Nonce-verified requests, escaped output everywhere, capability checks on every admin action. We follow WordPress security standards without shortcuts.
Always free
GPL v2 licensed. No paid tier, no premium add-on, no feature gating. Every capability we build ships to every user equally.
Developer friendly
Clean, well-commented code. Hooks and filters everywhere. Full documentation. Fork it, extend it, audit every line — it's your code too.
How ByteCore Stack started
ByteCore Stack was born out of a simple need: manage a WordPress site running on AWS Lightsail without jumping between the AWS console, a terminal, and three different dashboards. We wanted everything — instance control, snapshots, email delivery — accessible directly from WordPress.
So we started building. The BCS Lightsail Manager came first — a clean WordPress plugin that lets you start, stop, reboot your Lightsail instance and trigger on-demand snapshots without ever leaving wp-admin. The BCS SMTP Manager followed: reliable transactional email with delivery logging and real-time alerts so you always know when something goes wrong.
Both plugins are in active development and will be available on WordPress.org soon — free, open-source, and built for developers who want focused tools that do one thing well. ByteCore Stack is our commitment to keep adding to that library without ever hiding features behind a paywall.
Audit the code. Fork it. Improve it.
Everything we build is on GitHub under GPL v2. Read every line, open an issue, submit a pull request. Contributions are credited in the changelog.
